How to Apply

To apply to the Equine Scholars Program, students must:

• fill out a Georgetown College application
• fill out an Equine Scholars Application
• submit a letter of recommendation from an individual who is working in or involved with the horse industry.

The applications and letter should be submitted to Georgetown College by February 1 of the student’s senior year in high school.

Students with a non-traditional education are encouraged to apply and should contact the admissions office for application requirements.

Scholarship

The equine scholars program offers scholarships to select students. Equine Scholars may participate in any of Georgetown College's academic programs.

Current scholars are pursuing coursework in

• Art
• Communications
• Business
• Drama
• Pre-Medicine
• Pre-Veterinary.

Georgetown College selects up to forty new students per year as Equine Scholars. These scholars receive a $1,000 scholarship, with other monies available to select students. Scholarships are renewable annually.
