Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital Tour, Friday, Nov. 20

Join the Equine Scholars for a tour of the official Alltech 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games veterinary hospital! Learn about cutting-edge technology used in this world-renowned equine hospital and see the inner workings of this very busy medical facility. www.roodandriddle.com  This tour will take place at 10 a.m. Vans will leave the Equine Scholars building at 9:40.

Guest Speaker Kelly Watkins of Expressive Concepts, Tuesday, Dec. 1

Kelly Watkins formed Expressive Concepts (www.expressiveconcepts.com) to teach others how to communicate effectively. This Successful Networking Workshop will be presented by the Graves Center for Calling and Career (www.georgetowncollege.edu/career). This event is mandatory for all Equine Scholars and will take place from 11 to 11:50 a.m. in Hill Chapel.

Guest Speaker Courtney Lee of Red7e Marketing, Thursday, Dec. 3

Red7e (www.red7e.com), a full-service marketing and advertising agency based in Louisville, does work for such notable companies as the Kentucky Farm Bureau (www.kyfb.com), Three Chimneys Farm (www.threechimneys.com), the Alltech 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games (www.alltechfeigames.com) and the United States Equestrian Federation (www.usef.org). Ms. Courtney Lee is a senior account executive who also rides; she will be discussing equine-related advertising. This event will take place in Asher 112 at 5 p.m.

Equine Scholars Christmas Party, Thursday, Dec. 10

Come down to the Equine Scholars building for a study break filled with Christmas movies, good food and good friends. This event will take place from 11: 30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come hungry!
