Comments: The Equine Scholars Program is an organization that lets me be the horse lover that I am, while also learning how others are keeping horses in their lives. It means friendship, learning, and just plain fun!

Comments: Equine Scholars has provided a good outlet for my interest in the Equine world in college. I have met many new, engaging people through the program who are interested in many different avenues within the equine world. The program has also opened me up to the business aspect of the equine world through field trips.

Comments: I joined the Equine Scholars Program because of the many opportunities it provides to explore different aspects of the equine industry. After graduation, I'm not entirely sure what I want to do, but I know that I want to incorporate horses into some aspect of my life. From the program I have gained an awareness of the vastness of the horse industry, especially in Kentucky; and a deeper appreciation of it as well.

Comments: I joined the Equine Scholars Program to expand my knowledge of the horse world. I ride Rocky Mountain Horses, so I wanted to be exposed to and/or involved in other disciplines of riding. I intend on managing or owning a farm along with being a corporate lawyer.

Comments: I hope to get many things out of the equine scholars program. Not only has the program helped me to make amazing friends, it has also helped me in make an easy transition into college. At first I was very scared to enter a new life with new people, but this program helped me to build a family within Georgetown College. All the people are wonderful and, to top it all off, they have similar interests. I hope to participate in many internships and gather job ideas for the future.

Comments: I decided to be an Equine Scholar because I am very interested in anything having to do with horses. I moved here so I could get involved in larger scale thoroughbred business, and the Equine Scholar Program is helping to introduce me to the people and places that I need to be familiar with when I start a career in the horse industry. It is a perfect way to explore the possibilities available to me within the scope of the equine industry, and find out where my strengths and interests lie.

Comments: Georgetown’s Equine Program is powerful in that it gives me the ability to combine its broad reach in the Equine Industry with my studies in Japanese and International Business. The school and the program is at the center of the horse universe. My family and I looked everywhere and Georgetown was the only school that could give me everything that I needed. The amazing part is that I only knew about Georgetown from its brochures and web sites before I came here. This is a great place to live and go to school! My parents know people care about me and they think I made a good decision.
